A wee update: This was my first post and it was published exactly one year before Posie Parker and other women were unable to speak at the Auckland Let Women Speak rally. NZ politicians, media and leaders whisked a lot of lovely NZers, including some dear friends, into a frenzy and many attended to protest PP in the belief she was, yup a hateful nazi. There's also been a rise in the term far right. As far as I can see, for many in power it appears that nazi now equals people I disagree with, as does far right. If you've drifted on to my substack to argue with me, do you *really* think a disabled elderly women's right to same sex intimate care is a hateful nazi position? Because that's what we're hearing, that the wishes of biological women do not matter because it is so important to support men who identify as women.

This is an invaluable article I can send to people who are relatively new to--or questioning--the sex-role identity (gender identity) movement. And to people I hope will start to question the movement. Thank you for spelling out clearly and briefly for those unfamiliar with much of the movement's background just how conservative, misogynist, and regressive it is. I like how you write about this as a new version of teen girls being taught to hate their bodies. (You phrased it better: I just am unable to see and refer back to it from this substack window at the moment.) Thanks again. Subscribed. I'm looking forward to reading more from you.
